SASJ’s, Mark Faulds, Receives MBE from the Royal Family

There is one among us, who was stationed in NEFL Florida for just shy of a decade, who was this week recognized by the Royal Family for his great efforts. SASJ’s member, Mark Faulds, who served on the SASJ Board of Directors for several years, gave the Toast to the Haggis at Burns Dinner during his years stationed in Florida, and is the Scottish voice we hear on our NEFL Scottish Games announcements, has earned a well deserved MBE from the Royal Family. Way to go Mark!

The MBE is the Member of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire. It is a high honor given to someone who has demonstrated a significant achievement for the United Kingdom. Mark is a pilot, and squadron leader, in the Royal Air Force and received this honor in recognition of his efforts to bring the P-8 Poseidon into the Royal Air Force service through Project Seedcorn.

And we also congratulate Keeley, Mark’s wife, on this fantastic recognition. Standing beside every person who strides toward great achievements is their support system, their rock, who make that extra effort possible. Job well done, Mark and Keeley!
