The World Pipe Championships are this weekend! Each year the best pipe bands in the world take the green in Glasgow to compete for the world championship. After committing a year of intense learning and effort to make their musically arranged Medley and MSR (March, Strathespey and Reel) the best, the bands go head to head with brilliant quality and arrangement.
Did you know that the U.S. has several pipe bands that represent the States in each grade level competition? We even have a Grade 1 (the best of the best) pipe band right here in Florida, The Dunedin Pile Band!

Father of my Fletcher High School classmate, John Laughter, was deeply involved in the early years of the Dunedin Pipe Band. John often attends our NE FL games.
