Tartan Banners

Donating a Tartan Banner

If you are interested in purchasing a yard of your clan’s tartan (if it is not listed below), Please contact us at jacksonvillestandrews@gmail.com or using the links at the bottom of our “About” page. We would be honored to add your tartan to the Saint Andrew’s Society of Jacksonville’s collection to represent your clan and be displayed at the events we participate in. We will assist you in locating a source for your tartan. Once it arrives we will have the clan name embroidered on the tartan and mount it on a presentation pole. Your banner will then appear in many of the events we participate in each year. When ordering your tartan for donation please follow these instructions:

Purchase, preferably, one yard of 100% wool tartan, 11oz. If you cannot get 100% wool tartan, then a primarily wool blend will be acceptable. Please ensure that the yard is at least thirty (30) inches wide.

After providing the tartan material to a Saint Andrew’s Board Member, the tartan will be hemmed and embroidered with your clan name. Once this preparation is complete, the Saint Andrew’s Society will contact you to inform you when the tartan will be dedicated to the society.

This list shows all tartans in the collection along with the name of the donor and the year it was donated. All tartans are modern unless otherwise noted.
